When I decided to create this Quiet Vibe Guide I contacted all four organizations and asked them to send me their most quiet products for this auditory comparison test. Testing Technology

How did I test the decibel level of each vibrator? Which instruments were used?

I used a sound enclosure with a Decibel Meter that features a highly sensitive and precise condenser microphone that is capable of measuring noise levels from 30 to 130 dB with an accuracy of ±1.5 dB.

The dB meter is A-weighted, which is ideal for the measurement of environmental noise, such as traffic noise, baby room noise, classroom noise, home theater noise, industrial noise, and device output. The sampling rate at 2 times per second is ideal for dB tests in sound enclosures.

We compared all of the tools at the lowest and highest settings inside the sound enclosure.

Then I performed a personal “felt sense” test on my genitals with each toy and recorded videos of my opinions of their stimulatory and use case potential while demonstrating them.

Was there an “overall winner?” Yes and no. MysteryVibe came in with the quietest sound on the lowest settings for the Tenuto 2 male vibrator. However, this is a couple’s toy as is the other most quiet toy, the vibrating penis ring called the NŌS from Fun Factory.
